The Borettana onion is a small, slightly flattened variety, sweet and tender, typical of Emilia Romagna. Paired with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, they absorb all its qualities in a truly special fusion of aromas and flavors. Traditionally used as a side dish for meat or fish dishes, they are also excellent as an appetizer, or added to Russian salad or octopus salad.
