The Domain Borgeot that Pascal and Laurent Borgeot founded in 1985 with a few key parcels of Santenay vines that they inherited from their father, has grown into one of the most respected wineries in the Cote de Beaune.
The Borgeot brothers, Pascal and Laurent, have a great 'touch' with both Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, producing classy and distinctive regional, village and 1er cru wines in Burgundy's 'golden triangle ' of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault.
This excellent Bourgogne Rouge is sourced from 40 year old vines and aged in 20% new oak barrels.
It exhibits delicious aromas of raspberry and blue berry with hints of earthiness.
It is medium bodied, round and smooth on the palate with some structure and is perfectly balanced with a firm acidity.
